On June 15, 2001, a group of Florida students and professors embarked on their most challenging educational expedition to date.

The First Total Solar Eclipse of the Millenium will zoom through Zambia, Africa on the morning of June 21, 2001.

Join the team on this exciting expedition via live webcast from the African bush! Coverage from the Kafue National Forest will begin June 17, leading up to a LIVE webcast of the Total Solar Eclipse on June 21. Coverage will conclude June 26 at Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall on the planet.

Update June 18, 2001 The team arrived safely in Lusaka, Zambia. After an overnight stay in Pioneer Campgrounds, they are underway via a pair of Land Rover Defenders, to the heart of the Kafue National Park. Photos and expedition notes will be available shortly.
